About Presence:
Presence is a collection of fourteen worship songs that orbit around the central theme of God's presence in the experience of worship. They're songs written out of a place of worship for a place of worship--whether that's in solitude or corporately in a church worship service. Many of them have been in the Sunday morning rotation at our church for a while and have proven themselves there. Others will be introduced in the months ahead. Our experience of worship comes in many varied moods, sensory and emotional experiences, and divine-relational moments. We tried to explore that wide spectrum on the Presence project. Some of the songs' themes are large in scope, like In the Light and You Are, some are tender and intimate, like Glorious Presence and Holy is The Lord. There are songs of petition, Have Mercy On Me, and Show Your Love, while In Your Presence is an intense, personal, Revelation-Five-ish, throneroom drama. And smack dab in the middle is Hold On, a song that's been a source of comfort and strength to many, with its prologue, In Between. Our hope is simply that these songs will draw you into God's presence, whatever your circumstance or context. He is near.
